Jack Olsen is consistent in his writing, always introducing the character and the family, friends, surroundings and life events before we know what has been done. He does this with detail and empathy, drawing the reader in. Kevin Pierce, who is one of the greatest narrators, never disappoints, reading the story with regard and respect..
Book 2 is a continuation of the gloom and doom of the worst case scenario of a US power grid terror attack. The resulting scenes are not for the weak of heart but not at all unrealistic sadly. No rays of sunshine only some lessons to be learned in preparedness. Reader is not overly engaging..
What did you love best about No Direction Home? The characters were brought to life. What was one of the most memorable moments of No Direction Home? When the group split in two. How it went from unified to split in a short time. Have you listened to any of Kevin Pierce’s other performances before?..
Ted Bundy and Kevin Pierce.. It doesn’t get much better than that! read the companion books as well.

This is my third Jack Olsen book and they’ve all been outstanding. He has such a talent for illustrating the twisted psychology of the criminals. The woman especially in this book is just really bizarre. She probably had Borderline Personality Disorder or who knows what. A real weirdo.
The most interesting thing about true crime is the abnormal psychology of the criminal (to me at least). What I like about Jack Olsen is that he puts the psychopath front and center. I’ve read three of his books now and they’re all quite satisfying. The criminals are interesting. This book develops a little differently..
I love the relationship between Lauren and her Dad. I have a very honest, direct and loving relationship with my two daughters and my son. I pray Ali can prepare hem as well as he has prepared Lauren ri face the challenges and success life brings.
