Post EMP survivalist story, Great reader, good story. If you like books in the survivalist nature of a post EMP world then this one will be enjoyable.
This average Joe is faced with a couple of tragedies prior to an EMP hitting the country. As the days pass and Joe learns how to struggle through life, his grandma’s letters keep him on track and lead him to a strong, beautiful woman and her daughter. Interesting read and fantastic performance by Kevin Pierce!
Should have stopped listening after the whiney rant by the author that showed him to be petty, resentful, self-absorbed. Finally did stop listening about an hour before the end as the author describes his correspondence with the convicted, which again shows that like all narcissists, he responds to any hint of criticism with out-of-proportion attacks…

One of the only books I just can’t finish. The story is not very well thought out for the timeline of when things happen. Characters aren’t too bad but what they do is just bizarre.
