Started out good, recap of previous books, and then great story line about rescuing 2 children. Then digressed into lots of fighting, cussing, and association with vile people. Stopped listening with over 4 hours to go. This is not a prepper book.

Narration was excellent. The unified story climax of major plots felt very rushed and artificially brief. The unnecessarily unfinished subplot felt very sloppy. Story overall, was captivating and believable with everyone’s human imperfection always rising to the surface, although character emotion could have been more developed.

Part of a story, painting a picture? Extremely difficult to listen to, mostly because of the introductory tone of a bigoted, sexist, racist, homophobic description of Spokane. It sounds like the author, and rebook reader, pine for. Included in the introduction is a too long, rambling, disgusting rant about the other unnamed true crime story..
