Great characters, even the resourceful “bad guys”. Very realistic and true to human nature. I get to listen to books at work and finished this whole series within a week. The scary thing is this type of even has happened before and will happen again.
It was well paced with solid storytelling and character development. I wish there was a sequel.

This book was disturbing. I just had a tough time getting into the theme of the book. Not even as fiction. Oh, it is a reminder of Red Dawn, but worse. This is America. America! In saying all that it was well written. Enough to make me upset. 🙂
The set up and story lines are interesting with enough action to keep me entertained. It has a number of storylines that come together nicely. I found myself feeling the emotions of the main characters. This is a good one!
My only gripe is Barb, she is the most obnoxious character in the series. Thoroughly unlikable and one dimensional. Hopefully she features less prominently in the rest of the series.

I would strongly suggest if you like action packed stories give this one a go.
This has got to be my favorite apocalypse series to date! Maddie and the crew kept me on the edge of my seat. World building was well done, and realistic- scary AF! CAN’T wait for the next installments and possible spinoff.
Good characters and a well written plot for such an overwhelming outcome of an AI takeover of the world. I would have liked to see more human kindness and good intentions.
Realistic and informative. I liked it and would recommend it. I have never considered survival by the coast, so it was interesting to hear how it is on ships. I don’t know how many more words I need to use for this to count so I’m just want to keep talking.
