Really seems to be targeting a YA audience. Repetitive. Couldn’t get even 1/3 of the way there.

Plot not consistent, author does not seem to understand the topics that he presents in this book. Very generic, lacks decent character development, contradicting premises.

I don’t know how anyone can think they’re going to write a great book about the apocalypse when they have no capacity for understanding social change. Besides the endless clichés and violence which is often sexual, the author felt the need to describe every female as either the most beautiful he’s ever seen or ugly…

I thought this might pick up after the first book, but the second drags down into monotony.The premise is okay but goes quickly off track with the introduction of crazy preppers.
