Listened to this book as California was hit with the fires. My listen was not planned; just happened. My heart breaks for all those affected by the fires. It made listening to this book a bit more real. If you listen and you love dogs you will find yourself saying “what about the dogs!”.
This is a great listen if you like Franklin Horton you will like this as well
I love the storyline.. but, Kirkland writes Soldiers belonging to the USANG who have been warfigjting for 2 decades as simple, weak and similar to some conscripted foreign national. there is no way a group of cartel members would be able to overrun M1A tank crews.
I am a huge fan of Mark Goodwin I enjoy all of his end times books, but this one was just not as good as the other. I am not sure If it was just missing the build up of when SHTF but this being a continuation of the story before just missed the mark..
