The light-heartedness and seriousness of the characters in this series blended seamlessly together and narrated by Kevin Pierce made an irresistible storyline/listening experience!
Story line was easy to follow even with daily stop and starts. Had me on the edge of my seat at times.
Really enjoyed the characters and story. Great overall. Good mix of sci-fi and real world possibilities
This book was a bit of a departure from Horton’s previous book series (The Borrowed World, Locker Nine, The Mad Mick). This time the main character isn’t a die hard prepper and doesn’t know much about operational security. But through a combination of stubbornness, determination, and luck, he somehow manages to do what he set..
Just finished the Marcus Battle books, glad I stopped here. Another great audio book! Words words words
Good story, you get to know the characters. The ending was “poof.” I am about to read the interacting book.
to much P.I.A. I call it pain in the a$$ .over the top self-loathing if it were realistic someone like this would be dead due to to much overthinking and self hate would be to paralyzed to function. and the irritating disrespect stuff .I want to be swept up in the adventure but I did..
I thought this was a really good read and I love the narrator. My biggest complaint is that it was clear the author was just trying to make the book longer. He just kept repeating the same things. I understand those were interviews but lace those throughout the story not all at the end. Overall..
Left with a cliffhanger so I’ll be waiting for more . Well written performance was excellent Kevin is so good I follow him as much as authors
