Did not like how cold and callous Jim, the main character, had become. Loved his family but seemed devoid of emotion.
Edge of your seat action! Love Kevin Peirce as a narrator. He’s one of my favorites.

I have continued to enjoy this series. The characters are excellent and the stories are interesting. It presents a plausible world after the power goes out and there is no gas. It shows the best and worst of how people deal with the situation. It shows the challenges people face and how they deal with..
I felt like I listed to three books that could’ve been condensed into one or less. There just wasn’t enough action or accomplishments per book. I don’t want to spoil it for anyone so I won’t get into detail. Overall writing is solid……..just meh is all.
I enjoyed the storyline and the characters are well written. It keeps you on your toes and once it’s over your ready to start the next. I will be recommending to my friends.
talk about overfilling telling and retelling … ridiculous … the Mad Mick tie in was the best part of this crap sandwich

Aside of the unnecessary profanity most of the time, and knowing Matt Best irl and his character portrayal was pretty good, the jumping around so much gets old.
man this was one hell of a ride the characters were fun. the book was a great mix of comedy one liners and brutality. ready for the next 3.
Enjoyed it from beginning to end, and was sorry when it ended. An old fashioned, satisfying tale, especially for binge readers like me. Great suspense, great characters, and very believable.
The authors attention to details was wonderfully appreciated. The three books were woven together as to allow reading in any order without unnecessary repetition. i will read more as produced.
