Such a great series I’m kind saddened by some of the events that happened in this one I hope the next one clears things up.
I was a big fan already having read many of his books and loved Major Battle. Didn’t know how I missed this series and downloaded it as soon as I saw it and started listening. I’m a little freaked out that it’s set in Lake Mary where I’ve lived most of my life, kinda freaky..
It jumps around too much for me and doesn’t have a good flow like a Franklin Horton book

The story wasn’t engaging or interesting. Normally there are more stakes or more compelling plot lines in the series.
I really enjoyed this series! They have been such a blessing to me! I have a few criticisms though. Mark Goodwin, please consider never using the word “pursed” to describe anyone’s lips. Runner up annoying phrases include, “knuckled his forehead” and “bit his/her bottom lip” Otherwise the story was excellent and encouraging in many ways!..
I am getting to the point that all I want Is books Witten Horton and narrated by Kevin….His narration is the best
I think the author is a good writer but I don’t enjoy the story or plot. I am well into book two and it still drags on. There is too much internal arguing and fighting. I’d rather see them together fighting a common enemy. I don’t like zombie books but even that would perk things..

Ton of great action. Well written, good flow, great narrator. I’m really getting to know the characters as they are continually developed.
