I liked the story a lot. It seemed very plausible. I liked the characters a lot. One thing i kept wondering is why the enemy didn’t use helicopter gunships on them. Also some of the torture and killing was a bit much. Overall though, great series.

I really enjoyed this series, and just got into it. It’s not an all time classic, or a stunning literary achievement. But the characters are great, the stories are well told, and the narration is excellent. I really enjoyed it, and will look for other books from this author and narrator both.

I loved the book, however be warned there are some explicit scenes at times (not extreme extreme but i almost quit listening). However, I loved that the book was full of action, I fell in love with the characters. The narrator is also one of my favorites which is also why I listened.
I normally love this genre and especially the narrator Kevin Pierce, BUT all the gory graphic detail about killing made me sick. I only enjoyed the descriptions of how to survive and the interpersonal relationships. I’m from Oregon and was sorry that the writer didn’t go beyond mentioning I-5 and a few city names. Seems..
Every character in this story would be dead within 48 hours if the grid collapsed. Seems like Abbott and Costello wrote this book. I will not be wasting a credit on the second one.

Roger that! This was a unbelievable repetitive series. Very predictable “hero’s” and villains, both Americans and foreign aggressors. Total waste of time and credits!
