Ryan Schow writes science fiction and this one is a doozy! It takes place in the same world as Population Zero, just years later. I was curious about the extremely high reviews so I took a chance. I’m not an AI fan (so Population Zero wasn’t a favorite after the AI became the focal point)..
Now I need more credits to get the next book. Has started getting good. Have to wait for the next one
It’s an entertaining listen. You have to suspend disbelief a bit to get into this stuff but it really is well written. I do have a question: Is T.L. Payne a pen name or pseudonym for Franklin Horton? The amount of easter eggs with character names, places and events is very prevalent in this series…

The series started off strong and was rather compelling yet it seems that the author tried to wrap it up quickly to keep the number of installments down to 4. The ending was rather predictable and anti-climatic with little mention of what eventually happens to any of the characters in the future.

TL Pain must have been a correctional officer at one point. Having worked at Western Missouri corrections center for almost 13 years. I’ve heard a lot of references that usually come from someone who has worked with the department.
I wanted to like it but the reader has the worst monotone I’ve ever had to try and listen to. Nothing against the author, but the reader killed it for me. I listen to books non-stop and this is hands down the worst one I’ve ever gotten. Again, nothing about the story but couldn’t listen..
