Ryan Schow writes science fiction and this one is a doozy! It takes place in the same world as Population Zero, just years later. I was curious about the extremely high reviews so I took a chance. I’m not an AI fan (so Population Zero wasn’t a favorite after the AI became the focal point)..
It’s an entertaining listen. You have to suspend disbelief a bit to get into this stuff but it really is well written. I do have a question: Is T.L. Payne a pen name or pseudonym for Franklin Horton? The amount of easter eggs with character names, places and events is very prevalent in this series…

I wanted to like it but the reader has the worst monotone I’ve ever had to try and listen to. Nothing against the author, but the reader killed it for me. I listen to books non-stop and this is hands down the worst one I’ve ever gotten. Again, nothing about the story but couldn’t listen..
