Good drama and solid characters. Taught me a few things. I would recommend this book.
Entertaining
Review from American Apocalypse Box Set →
Having read and loved Tom Abraham’s Crusader series, I was excited for this story and was not disappointed. This post-apocalyptic tale, as told from the journals of Marcus Battle, was very fascinating. Both his losses and survival through the Scourge definitely show his strength. And despite his reluctance, this hero can’t help but to help..
I really wanted to like this book. I’m not going to beat a round the bush. I can’t see a bunch of special forces guys taking orders from a teenage girl no matter how much they liked her dad. Seriously it’s not only the military that takes orders from this teenage girl, it’s local law..
While one is definitely able to nitpick certain details as impossible. the plot, the characters, and the narrator all worked well together to suspend reality creating a great story of fiction. Extra credits site audibledealsdutcom. Thank you Mr McDermott for such a wonderful book! While some parts left me devastated the overall story was wonderful!..
Narration is amazing as always with Kevin Pierce. Story is entertaining, but the main guy is so annoying. He has his wife fooled into thinking he’s almost as great as he believes himself to be. He’s an arrogant joke.
I found this last book of the series to be really boring. We are hearing about the stories of 43 Colonels after everything has already happened. It goes on and on and on as each one recounts from the rostrum their efforts to save America. Too much of self praise in my opinion. It really..
I enjoyed the first book, disappointed with how short the 2nd book was, about half as long as the first. I drive a lot and try to get more bang for my buck. That said, I’m in and want to see what happens next, and will buy the next one in the series.
I have enjoyed the entire series and have already purchased the next two books. The characters are well developed at this point in the series and very entertaining. The ever changing plot has kept me listening and wanting more. If you enjoy the post apocalyptic genre, you will enjoy this.
