Sad to have finished. This was a very enjoyable book with some amazing characters. I look forward to looking at other books from the author.

C.A. Rudolph has a way with a good story line and interesting characters.Kevin Pierce is one of the top narrators. I have often chosen an unknown author knowing that he will make it a great listen.

Great story. Love the reader he is always so good. Started this a while back then found the last three books. Outstanding!

to much cussing, but overall a good story, the narrator is great. jax was my favorite character

Next to The Stranger Beside Me by Ann Rule this is the absolute best of what true crime as a genre can be. Immersive, shocking, frustrating and heart breaking.

The first book was classic PAF, but the second just fell apart. The god guys could do no wrong and the relationship stuff was just over done. Got extremely repetitive and boring. Had to stop. However, Kevin Pierce was excellent as usual, wish he had some better writing to read.

It’s a long listen and can be a little pedantic but all and all a very well written book and didn’t leave out anything. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys factual true crime. You get to know the participants to a great degree.

I realize that Horton’s writing makes me think, and Pierce’s narration always makes me willing to listen. This story seems very realistic, especially in this day and age of how varied types of people and personalities all seem to be drawn together over the use of marijuana.
