This story has a great set up but after that it’s just a bad love story about everyone who is worried more about looking for a mate then they are surviving.

The story was interesting but just really over the top and super detailed for mundane things like using the toilet. This authors later work is much better, and this whole series was disappointing.

I really enjoyed learning more about Nic and the beginnings of TGC. I could hear his voice in the phrases and idioms of this book. I’m looking forward to following his career as an author. Maybe they are saving Nic reading it for the updated version after Richard Allen’s trial. Ban the van.

Kevin Pierce is in fine form as usual. The good guys win again. While some folks complain of that kind of ending, I won’t. It’s uplifting, particularly these days, to continue to believe in (hope) that good triumphs over evil ultimately. Again, well done.
Is this really about the Delphi Murders? It appears that the book was essentially finished before a suspect was arrested so it’s a pastiche of various other cases (interesting, but not Delphi), loads of speculation and a little about the actual suspect. I enjoyed the narrator’s performance, many of the stories were indeed fascinating, but..
Compelling and inspirational story that is well narrated and one that you will want to hear again. What more can I say about a must have book?
