to much cussing, but overall a good story, the narrator is great. jax was my favorite character

this story kept me wanting more. I truly enjoyed is thoroughly and learned a lot!

I’m ready to hear the rest of the story…. It feels like there is so much more but will we ever know?

Next to The Stranger Beside Me by Ann Rule this is the absolute best of what true crime as a genre can be. Immersive, shocking, frustrating and heart breaking.

The first book was classic PAF, but the second just fell apart. The god guys could do no wrong and the relationship stuff was just over done. Got extremely repetitive and boring. Had to stop. However, Kevin Pierce was excellent as usual, wish he had some better writing to read.

It’s a long listen and can be a little pedantic but all and all a very well written book and didn’t leave out anything. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys factual true crime. You get to know the participants to a great degree.

I realize that Horton’s writing makes me think, and Pierce’s narration always makes me willing to listen. This story seems very realistic, especially in this day and age of how varied types of people and personalities all seem to be drawn together over the use of marijuana. Good addition to the series. I enjoyed getting more insight into how Marcus became the character that he was in the original books. I also really like the format, particularly the ‘historical introduction’ that was used as a framing device. I received a free Audible copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I bought this book a while back, and I regret not starting it sooner. It is well written, and very believable. Excellent narration by Kevin again I love his narration.

Tom & Kevin just keep getting better. Started with The Traveler series and this was the icing on the cake.
