Usually I’m not a fan of mixed timelines, going back and forth, this was done incredibly well. Tears for me at the end. Superb!!
Fun listen. Really got into it after about an hour. Had a couple different suspects going for some time.

this book was hard to stop listening to as it was engaging, a bit unexpected, and contained great christian principles throughout. realistic and not preachy!
The storyline was predictable, but ok. But, the reader voice I found very hard to tolerate. I had to quit after chapter 14!
The hissing of the narrators “ssss” sounds and audible breathing at the end of every sentence made it hard to focus on what turned out to be a mundane plot anyway.
Such a good storytime that kept me coming back for more of this creative and slightly romantic adventure.
I loved the characters and the struggles of women to know their own mind. Edith had compassion and still was true to herself.
