This was my first book by Lynn Austin. The story captivated me as I journeyed through four generations of women in one family. The history was fascinating, learning how women were treated during the different times. I will be listening to more books by this author.

Really helps identify and validate your experiences with a covert emotional manipulative $#!Ï€. purely evil that these people exist. I could actually get behind persecution of such people, but they would insert themselves into powerful positions of deciding the criteria of who would be persecuted, and the victims would then be persecuted.

Great story but wish it had a better narrator. She is a good reader, but I wish a more compelling or contemporary voice had drawn me in better. But the writer did a great job saving details to unveil at the right time.
