The Astral Prime collection was … awesome, but dark. If you expect more Mobius and Esper adventures, you’ll be disappointed. There’s still humor, satire, and a solid story, but this is apocalyptic in a way the other Black Ocean tales never were. The Good: You get a lot of book for your buck. The Bad: When the book is crap, the concept of a lot of extra crap does not make it better. Instead of drama you get melodrama. Characters doing stupid things to create moral outrage to move a story along. No connectivity in the story..
I found this to be a great story.but the narrator was very boring. The voices of the characters were not very vivid at all.but the story was great! I think that it could of been better,with different narrative though.
excellent magic system treads the line between a scientific feel and remaining fantastical. the story is exquisitely narrated. I just wish there was MORE I didn’t want it to end
It seems like half of the book is descriptions of fight scenes. Very, very detailed and descriptive. I’m not sure at all of that ratio though, because I was tuned out the majority of the time I listened to this. I find this book to be very boring, and I’m returning it. Oh, but the..
This sparked my love of epic space operas. I love JS Morin’s whit and Mikael Naramore’ narration. It’s so awesome, I’ve re listened to it twice!
I loved the first bunch of books but nearing the end I found the character’s decisions harder to swallow.
