Not quite as long or good as the original, but close! Likely I’ll read this again.

this is a compilation of scraps cut from A war of 3 worlds. can’t be mad at JS, I’m glad I got to experience them.. but these aren’t all short stories, some are simply dropped chapters.

Enjoyed the first 3 books, plot lines begin to unravel in book 4 and choices of the characters devolve into silliness by the 5th.

where the crew of the mobius was fun and the mobility kept the action fresh over 50+ hours this series sits in the same place with the same problems and everyone is so negative other than the stowaway stories it was a chore to get through what was a cool story. honestly it seemed like..

I liked the added complexity to the storyline, lots of characters developing and s noticeably larger world. the first half or better seemed a little listless, a ways into the second half my interest picked up quite a bit. feeling a little rr Martin with the casual killing of multiple followed characters, started to wonder..

This was an amazing book. I love all the black ocean series. Mercy for Hire is great. I hope J. S. Morin has more stories with these characters. I highly recommend purchasing these. The narrator is amazing as well. He never misses a characters voice. That is huge.

Best value audiobook ever and an extended science/fantasy that doesn’t power creep or devolve into random monster of the week tropes.

I liked it, gave it high marks but the first series was way better… that said this was still very fun to listen too. Moving on to the series with Cedric the Brown …
