This series is okay, but book 3 has 4 different storylines going on at the same time, with characters of basically the same name is each story. It gets a little hard to follow which storyline is which, and none of the characters in any of them are ever in any real danger or threat…
what an amazing story. it added so much depth to the universe and the overall story. Fans of Mort will not be disappointed.

The most of this is decently written but the amount of sexualization of the female characters (including a 16 year old) it is very obviously written by a man. It’s sad because most of the dialog is realistic and flows well until there is ANY dialog in relation to a woman’s body or a woman..
Naramore does a perfect job bringing you inside the characters and adventures. Superb work! Morin has taken the mantle as my favorite fantasy and science fiction writer. Keep them coming!

The narration is terrible but the storyline is far worse. It might get a B- for a high schooler’s attempt at writing an overly longer essay but it’s not worth more than that.

Always a good listen with a great narrator and great stories. With this combination of magic and sci-fi you can not go wrong.
This is my new favorite series. I bought two of the other series in Black Ocean before I was halfway through this. The characters were enjoyable, the environment was fun. I loved how wizards worked in this world. 12/10
it started out with the traditional Black Ocean slapstick chaos then turned into eugenics propaganda. too bad:(
