The story is confusing as an audio book because it goes back and forth between two worlds with similar people. Even the characters swap worlds at some points. The narrator is pretty rubbish. He does country western and hillbilly voices but it’s high fantasy. And it’s it even consistent voices. It’s really bad.
This series lives up to, and far exceeds the goal of being a spiritual successor to Firefly. This is a fun series by an author that is not afraid to tell a story. The narration is top notch on a level with RC Bray and like Bray brought out the best in the story. Bravo to the author and narrator.

This could be one of the best book series I’ve ever listened to. I didn’t know until the end of this book that it was inspired by one of my favorite sci-fi tv series. Firefly. The narrator is incredible and I am about to start the next book set. I love it thank you guys.
