Well worth the investment of your time. It took a little getting used to during the first story (magic mixed with space travel) but it worked really well once you accepted the premise. The narrator was very impressive. His ability to create individually identifiable characters solely by voice inflection was amazing.
Why did I have to stumble upon this “book” accidentally? This should be the number one sci-fi seller of all time on Audible. I absolutely enjoyed this series so much! It doesn’t get overly technical with anything but still feels like there is a set of rules that governs magic. I grew attached to all the characters especially Mort. I would definitely recommend this series to anyone. I feel like comparing this series to Firefly doesn’t do it..
