although I’m enjoying the story and i like the twists and turns, I always find it off-putting when American characters in the US use lots of British phrasing (struck off = fired) or words are mispronounced (epitome). Things like that pull me out of the story.

The reader did nothing for me, she spoke slowly, as if she were reading to a class of 3rd graders. Perhaps the story is better than what I heard. I can’t say I hated it, but I just didn’t LIKE it, I will not be listening to any more of Lucinda Gainey’s performances.
