although I’m enjoying the story and i like the twists and turns, I always find it off-putting when American characters in the US use lots of British phrasing (struck off = fired) or words are mispronounced (epitome). Things like that pull me out of the story.
I really enjoyed this series. I listened while packing up my house to move and the stories made the work fly by. I will be looking for more from this author
I truly enjoyed how these came together and will look for more books by this author.
I have read other novels from Wendy Saunders. The Guardian Series. I have a serious problem in putting down any of her novels. The Carter Legacy is just as fast paced and page burning! Extremely well written! As soon as I saw that Audible made a Wendy Saunders novel available I HAD TO ORDER them!!!!..

The reader did nothing for me, she spoke slowly, as if she were reading to a class of 3rd graders. Perhaps the story is better than what I heard. I can’t say I hated it, but I just didn’t LIKE it, I will not be listening to any more of Lucinda Gainey’s performances.
