A friend recommended this book to me. I really enjoyed the book. I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and I was familiar with a lot of the major events that were mentioned
Although I find the audiobook extremely informative and interesting, the author and lead detective, to me, seems pompous, “never wrong”, full of himself, the list could go on. Although he may be a very good detective he seems like an (insert expletive) hole which, again to me, was off putting.

The male narrator was awfully, very painful to listen to. The female has some patchy times, making me want to stop listening all together. I thought there was more to the story, so I kept listening…. not much more. But glad its done.

I enjoyed both voices. I really loved the story. The story has a lot of twists and connections to keep you on your toes. Another book by this other that I really loved.
If you are coming to this book just after the bad intentions trilogy, just like I did, don’t even bother!
