I can’t stand the accent of the reader. I can barely get through a few minutes of it before turning it off. It’s unfortunate. I wanted to hear the story but can’t get past the wretched accent.

Very interesting and convincing explanation of mankind’s patterns of immigration and the results. Really learned a lot

If you want to learn anything about ancient Egyptian history, this isn’t for you. Half of it is about race and gender and modern pop culture and political views. Even as short as it is, it’s not worth the time. It’s very brave.

This was a pleasant listen thanks to Richard Armitage’s captivating voice, and if you’re a fan of Elton John you’ll love the BTS insights into his career. But I found the way the book is written — weaving back and forth between the early days and the farewell tour — a bit difficult to follow…

The author is a fantastic storyteller and the narration, perfect. Couldn’t have asked for a more interesting book. Highly recommend.

This is a solid and entertaining but not a remarkable book. The reader’s performance is solid.

This book is fantastic. Elton shares all the stories about the hows and whys of every performance in each of the venues. I never heard many of these stories before. Great Listen!

As someone who likes films and has a soft spot for 80’s films in particular, I enjoined this peek “behind the curtain”. It is what it says on the tin, a very short introduction. This left my curiosity whetted.

If I didn’t already know the titles of the movies I certainly wouldn’t know from what this guy was saying.
