A nice tidy guide on the stations of the cross. Audible wants a 15 word minimum for the review… here ya go
The inconsistent volume of the reader distracts from enjoyment of this book. This underlines the reason it is necessary to listen to a sample of the reading before committing to a purchase. I have purchased many books from Audible and enjoyed them to a great degree. I will continue to endorse Audible to people I..
Heavily opinionated and from a judeo-Christian belief system. Would prefer writing style that is more objective and less deliberately demonizing
Carrie Gress has churned out another fantastic book. I am so grateful to her for putting in all the work she has to research and write these books. The Marian Option is certainly no exception. I strongly recommend this book.
Great content but over-theatrical reader. He also mispronounced many words which makes it very distracting.
Spoken at about the same tone and pace throughout which makes it hard to listen. Several instances of mispronunciation skewed some points and sounds as if she read the test for the first time as she performed it.
Couldn’t even finish due to the reader’s choppy and odd variations of speed. It seems as though he wasn’t listening to himself as he read, which may have helped. Totally waste.
My 7 and 8 year old would listen to this history for as long as I would let them. They loved the stories and the way history was told. They also enjoyed hearing how the Catholic Church was involved in history.
Review from The Devil and Karl Marx →
The discussion of Marxism from the beginning through the present was informative and very much worth reading.
A truly amazing book that spoke very deeply to me. If you feel disconnected or discontent with modern society and want to reconnect with what is real – this is for you.
