I’m at chapter 30 and I’m hoping this book will be more than whiney dialog. The MC is pathetic. The Bible reads faster than this book. I am at Chapter 30, so there’s a chance it will get better. I will write more later. For better, or for worse. Grace Hamilton never let’s me down.
I couldn’t listen more than a few chapters with the narrator. Horrible!! Come on dude, add a little inflection in your voice. Add some different character voices, etc. The monotone thing you have going is totally boring and detracts from the story.

The story is told through the first-person voice of a 17-year old boy so I don’t understand why the voice of what sounds like a 44-year old man is the narrator. That seems incongruous and dispelled a sense of the ring of truth for me.
Loved all three books! First time listening to this author. Enjoyed every minute! Loved the voice too.
