Good overall story looking forward to the next installment. Very interesting plot and interesting creatures.
The overly detailed description of starship fighting bores me. Even at 1.5x speed I couldn’t get through it. I’m glad I didn’t pay money for this.
Not even 1/4 of way through and I will admit so far I am enjoying it. However, I must make the same complaint I have been making for the last several years. The protagonist is whiny, complaining. and self centered. I’m done for now.
Interesting story line. Love the characters and story progression. Joshua Dalzelle is really good at this.
As good as all the others in this series. Fantastic characters. A large story and universe to work within.
I like the basic idea for the story, but the pacing is incredibly slow. I get that he’s a reluctant hero for the story, but if he doesn’t want an adventure, why did he join the military to jump out of airplanes, then become an oceanographer? I listened to this book for over an hour..
This is a thoroughly researched and EXTREMELY WELL-WRITTEN book. The writing, in itself, is truly a beautiful piece of art. The character development is so good that the listener will become Vincent’s and Theo’s family member. As a psychotherapist, I wanted to reach through the story, back in time to befriend Vincent. This is one..
I was expecting some entertainment with moderately good story telling. I ended up forcing myself to finish it to see if there was a payoff. There wasn’t. The premise has the potential to deliver good action, and some interesting sci-fi. The problem is in the execution. The dialog is terrible. Rather than give any narration,..
A blend of near contemporary alternate Earth history blended with space battles, battles on a planet and military personnel drama.
