This has become of of my favorite series. Characters are enjoyable, story lines usually pretty tight and the narrator does a good job.
I enjoyed listening to this quick novella. The characters are great, the storyline was fun, and the narrator did a wonderful job.
Good Second book. Looking forward to book three. Note: Chapter 19 is missing… it’s a repeat of chapter 18. It throws off the pacing a little but doesn’t feel like it overly effects the story.
Wonderful redirection in this series. Back to its roots with a more small scale storyline. Character development top notch as usual.
This book was well written and narrated, and contained lots of useful ideas to think about for living a good life. I plan to come back to this one for a re-read in the future.
Makes you want to cry or scream when a good author makes the MC a freaking moron just to generate a story plot or generate ? excitement. 1 catastrophic mistake is acceptable. one after another is lazy and intolerable. Where’s the editor flinging this tripe back in the face of this author? Lazy money grab…
I really disagree with the reviewers who said that the MC was a “whiny simpleton”, I actually found him refreshingly capable. To those who are expecting an “Asimov/Reynolds/Liu Cixin/Clarke” hard sci-fi, you will be disappointed. This book is more akin to JN Chaney/Glynn Stewart/MR Forbes (I.e. light on science, heavy on fiction). The book’s plot..
The narrator is excellent! Loved his phrasing, intonation and enthusiasm. His delivery kept me extremely focused.
