This book is a thorough account of the actions that led up to the expulsion of my Acadian ancestors from L’Acadie, NS. It is an example of intertwined descendancies that I am descended from those who were expelled and those who replaced them. All this from one set of my grandparents.
I really didn’t like the narrators voices for any of the characters. The story may have been alright and I may try just getting the book version to get better feel for authors work but I kept getting thrown out of the story because I didn’t like narration.
Excellent story as usual from Joshua Dalzelle. Excellent narration by Paul Heitch. I have All of the O..F. audiobooks and now I have all of the T.S.F. audiobooks also. It’s nice to go in expecting excellence and being rewarded with just that.
quite captivating. I am no art enthusiast but found the book enthralling . the suicide/accidental shooting discussion was interesting.
Was very surprised how interesting this book was… discovered so much about Chester A Arthur and this time period that I was not aware of…. Very well done!
