This story was just what I needed. I laughed audibly while listening. It’s a nice story about acceptance and redemption that never gets preachy. Very enjoyable read!

Both written and narrated well. Puts a focus on the technology and adventure of a positive first contact. Doesn’t get bogged down in interpersonal human drama like so many other stories do.
I enjoyed the first two books but this one was very hard to finish. The love triangle came out of nowhere and went nowhere. Jason behaved very stupidly at times, entirely out of character and unbelievable. But there are 15 books in the series at this point, so I have to assume that they get..
another excellent book in this series. starting next book immediately. one of the few series that holds up throughout series
Well written and thought provoking. It’s a good read that gets the reader to react with emotion. Can’t wait for the movie
Enthusiastic praise of the indigenous people who made the impossible choice to collaborate with their oppressor. But subtly dismiss other indigenous peoples who made the equally courageous choice to fight till the end—as “frozen in the past”. Very predictable why this subtle orientalist narrative gained so many accolades.
Superstore, super narration, I have to buy next one and next one as long as they stay like this one.

This book completely demystifies the subject. It is accessible without being oversimplified. Knowledge is half the battle.
