Punk’s War is a chore to get through with no pay off for a central conflict that barely existed. The action is flat and dry, and most characters little more than caricature cutouts. All the little details are correct but are never used to enhance the drama of scenes. Extremely disappointing.

Compelling and complete biography

I truly appreciated the detail and completeness of this biography of Van Gogh, and it caused me to purchase the Taschem edition of his complete paintings. Although the narrator’s pronunciation of French names and terms was often startlingly terrible, I applaud his undertaking of such a huge task.
