The people and stories in this collection will inspire and move you. Should be required reading in every high school. The reader isn’t bad but I wish he had just asked someone how to pronounce French words like Monsieur and Andre Gide and charge d’affaires. But it’s hard to say anything negative about this incredibly..
I so look forward to each new book. The characters keep evolving and the story line keep moving. No feel of “ I’ve Heard this before”.
Should have been twice as long to develop characters back stories and their relationship, especially with the many additional characters introduced as the first book in a series. It was forced, both MCs wimpy & whiny. Female MC cannot be called a heroine. So many character inconsistencies. Details rape/mutilation/perversions of villain which given the length..
Review from Recollections of a Private Soldier in the Army of the Potomac →
I loved the performance of the narrator, his voice did well conveying especially emotional points of the story. The writings itself I believe are a solid glimpse into the author’s experience of the war, touching on a couple important battles and containing some often overlooked details by other authors on the Civil War. That said,..
Narration is superb: pronunciation, enunciation, inflection, pace, cadence, varied rhythm are all excellent. Story is exciting, informative, well structured, although I could do with less biographical information. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
These seem to be telling less of a story and leave holes that can only be filled by the next book or two. A little disappointed
Awesome story, enjoyable learning, Andres is such an inspiration—can’t wait to prove his theories wrong too lol.
An interesting story of a long journey, surrounded by the trials and tribulations humans have amoungst one another. solid plot, good characters, interesting universe.
