I was annoyed with the beginning, but things developed and resolved satisfyingly. Now I’m hooked with the series and will likely spend more more credit’s following it gladly.

This book has some very good stories in it but the author used so many repetitive superlatives and hyperbole that it became monotonous to listen to. . I was looking for something different from my apocalypse series. This was definitely a game changer. Great narrator.

Great to see Lucky back in action even though it was predictable, The new threat surprised me.

When the Shooting Stopped Barrett Tillman A very interesting perspective on the closing of the war in the Pacific. The author provided uniquely detailed descriptions of actions of servicemen of all levels, and events I have not read in other accounts. Definitely worth the read for those interested in WWII.

I loved the story and it’s narrator. I’d known only a few anecdotes. I also recommend seeing the documentary Making Montgomery Clift to sort out some of the distortions of his life as contrived by prior biographers. This book steers clear of most of those.

The narrator ruined the entire series, especially the female narrator. The series could of been better if there were better narrators, it distracted from the story.
