I liked the story but it just seemed to be lacking detail and depth. The battle scenes were short and glossed over. I was always waiting for the story to hit its arc, but it just didn’t seem to get there.

while the story was pretty good the narration could have been better. definitely worth the listen.

The last two books were a little sub-par, but not by much. This one is moving things back on track with a good story and great humor among the crew.

Not much substance or value in this book. The writer is so biased to have glazed over and cherry picked information and then presented it as the clear base issue being the “other.” I would not recommend this book for any valuable information. The female had this bizzare accent that was distracting. I think she was going for a Boston accent, but sometimes it sounded Australian, othertimes like a speech impediment. the FMC left Boston for TX when she was 12, so no need to try for an accent she couldn’t do. The story was good and male..

Having spent 4 years on a carrier with Air Wing 16 during Vietnam-Ward captures it all. Great story, well written.

As a writer it was therapy to hear the private thoughts of these amazing authors, their insecurities and doubts coupled with their trials and tribulations was nourishing to the spirit. I intimately felt every minute of this, hands down my favorite book regarding writing so far.

this is supposed to be the back story about the bloc war but it is entirely different then what happened in the odyssey series
