The protagonist did not do this story a service. Whiny, panicky and annoying. The way I interface with stories is through the protagonist. I self insert, experiencing the story through them. I lasted an hour under those parameters. That says it all, really.

The main character is forced to make some huge decisions that make for an entertaining journey. The chapters switch to the villain often which makes it fun and suspenseful Narration on point too

An entertaining sci-fi story. My only real criticism is the MC being a massive self righteous hypocrite/war criminal. Not necessarily a bad thing, as complex characters can be great but the story refuses to acknowledge it.

I have over 508 tiles in my library. This is only the second bad review I’ve given. I guess the only thing I want to say about this book is it could have been so good; but just wasn’t. I like other books from this author. What happened?

Ms Smith has such depth in her books. I absolutely loved this story: passion, mystery, dragons-shifting, other worlds and of course true love.David Brenin has become my favorite narrator – the best voice I have ever!

I love the series and is worth reading multiple times. book 3 ends with a cliffhanger and I hope that there’s 1 or 2 more books to finish up the series
