the first couple books in the series were ok. not great, but something to pass the time as I drive (trucker). this one was just painful in so many places. Jason was a PJ, and has now been doing this for years, yet he behaves like an imbecile in so many instances it gets annoying…
I honestly don’t get what people expect from Audio books? It’s like these people expect every audio book to be just as good as their favorite series. This series is a refreshing new take on space novels. And it’s free so what’s to lose
Vaguely reminiscent of the Bobiverse series, but with a slight military flavor. Good story and performance.
An interesting listen (audiobook). Something different than a lot of the cliche storylines that dominant the genre it would be interesting to see where the ending of the book would take a sequel.

Really enjoyed the narration. Good vocal characterization. For me, best enjoyed at +1.25 speed to keep the story moving. The ending was a twist that I did not expect. The confession seemed a little confusing and disjointed in time and description. Enjoyed the detail and research required to accurately describe a story in 1942 form..

If you seen Star Wars you then have read their book. You have seen episodes of Star Trek that are better than this book. Being held hostage by an AI should be more important than I want to go home. I listened to this book but I won’t be getting the others.
