This book was a good introduction for me to a new sci-fi story type. I’m sure I’ll read some more.

Not much new in the book in terms of success principles but nice affirmation that all those books work. The tiny personal story portion of the book was the best part.

We will never know the full truth. Most Americans felt the Warren Commission just tried to placate the public. The same situation exists today. Taylor Caldwell knocks it out of the ballpark. Holds your attention from the beginning. Highly recommend

This survivor relates a long series of degrading and harrowing experiences which reveal more than the best historian ever will. It is masterfully written: Private Wilkerson says very much, very quickly—and then stops. It is an enlightening Civil War gem.

The author seemed to have learned his science from tv fiction. His characters squabbled like adolescents. The dialog did not reflect any inherent high intelligence, with no wit, often stating the obvious. No more of this series for me.
