Absolutely Astounding

I have read adult books by this author but had this and the next one in my Audible Plus for a while. I could not stop listening. It was scary, exciting and excellent.
I usually love listening to books about WWII, but not this one. Although the author’s emphasis on the many divisions that existed in the US back then is important and interesting, the flaw in the book overwhelm that topic. The book feels very disorganized – the organization by month is not a good substitute for..
I loved this audible; easy listening. Good principles for business professional or personal growth ideas.
I have read almost every book on Saratoga published in the last twenty years and prior good this is almost the best ones.
Short, somewhat boring but to the point account of the 1880 election. Not sure I buy the argument that Garfield was the last hope for a better reconstruction. Yes, he was more committed than Hayes but the South was too far gone in the other direction and the Republican party not strong enough anyway. If..
I read in the comments about this being stolen from the bobiverse. but the original was a short story by Larry Niven. I really don’t care it’s kind of like writing about zombies how many zombie books are out there. And this this book is good just got the other two.
Enjoyed this story but I am unsure what bothered me so about it. Had a sleepless night thinking about the possibility of world destruction, we keep testing the boundaries. Guess I should move to book 2 and stay awake another night. Loved Josie and Todd.
The story was ok and the idea was fun but some of the descriptions and attitudes of the characters were very sophomoric. As a veteran I have a herd time believing that some of the “officers” would act this way. But then again I also cannot imagine being in their particular situation. Worth the listen..
The narration sounded like a bad 1990s digital voice over. I even thought the author was trying to highlight AI/ML voice translation but the narrator is so bad I can’t make it past Chapter 2. I struggled to continue listening to the broken sentence structure, and very unpleasantness of the word flow that I am..
Despite the interesting subject matter, the narration is so poor, I could not finish the book. Heck, I couldn’t make it halfway through. Incredibly rigid, halting, oddly monotone performance. It truly sounds like a computer is reading the book. I’ll opt for a printed version instead.
