I enjoy that the author has managed to bring together all the events of the series thus far and that there are no lose strings. The story and narration are top notch as always.
still going strong

Joshua has done another great job. I absolutely love Jason Burke and his crew. I find myself laughing my butt off. He has a really great series going on here and I hope that he carries it on for a punch more.
Once again the magic of S.E Smith’s world of the Valdier transports one to another time and place beyond the stars and it’s hard to come back to earth! David Been in adds to the magic in a wonderful way!
There is a big ‘ol cliffhanger at the end of this book. At least our heroine runs circles around Saber in every meaningful way including sexy bed play. Well, he is pretty good at blunt force combat. Review of audio book.
Best ever spin on the “Beauty and the Beast ” fable. Author s.e. smith is ALWAYS excellent as is this narrator. David Brenin is my favorite male narrator.
After I read Hunter’s Claim I couldn’t wait to get my hands on Saber’s book.. But this book felt like it was written as an overview of the story. Lot’s of time skips , just dropping in to give an overview of what has happened and a conversation or two. That left me very unsatisfied,..
I have read S.E. Smith books a few years ago and when I listened to this I remembered what I like about them. The h’s are tough, brave, loyal, smart, i.e. no one’s doormat. This particular book has an interesting set up, likable characters, good action scenes, smexy times and a nice romance.
