This is the first book by this author Ive purchased. I thoroughly enjoy the characters, plot, Audible performance. On to book 2 in series.
The romance was great. I usually skip the sex scenes but these were awesome, and it didn’t get too silly with the over the top unexplainable attraction.
I enjoyed the book well enough, but there was a lot of repetition that was a little annoying. The same words and phrases were used quite a bit.
This is the second book I’ve read in this series and I have to say, I hate when they end. Alien or not, the passion they have fir their females leaps out at you. Looking forward to Dagger’s story.
There are great many political identities thrown out early in this text. I think the author means to establish his credentials by saying “I’m queer trans and all that”. For a minute there the goofballs were getting old and then I had to remember this is not real, but it was fun to read. I was wondering what was goi g to happen with the 2 old ladies and I’m glad they were able to find their happiness as well.
Listening to a Dalzelle book is like driving the coast highway (101) in a convertable sports car at high speed at night; lots of twists and turns and not quite sure what’s next. My only complaint is they are so short. But then that’s probably a business decision.
This series storyline reminds me in many ways of the Mass Effect video game trilogy storyline. I find many parallels between the two. Both evoke a very compelling storyline of cooperation across a variety of diverse species in a space-faring environment. And the cooperation is for noble goals and the promotion of good over evil…
I had this very entertaining book in my library for a wee while now thinking it would just be another version of the same old theme.. but had I realized just what a little gem it would turn out to be, I would’ve listen to it much sooner than I did. The humorous easy-flowing loving..
