I only wish more writers understood the importance of character development. pure Bang, bang shoot-em up does not make a good book make.

Kidnapping a character at the very end of a book to make you want to read the next book stinks. It is an elementary writing technique and it is unappreciated.

I started out not liking the main character but by the end I really felt bad for him. He has a great character arc, very well written!
