Great classic on historical archaeology and material culture. My first read in this field. I still use it for my methods or public history classes.
This book literally confirmed everything that I’ve been feeling as well as gave me some insights on what I need to do next in life and how to proceed with this solitude that I’ve been in. I really appreciate having been able to come across this book because it was amazing.

I liked the book because it introduces Stoicism from Seneca’s perspective. It complements the views of other authors that presented Stoicism from Epictetus and Marcus Aurelius teachings.
Darn I am tired today, I was unable to stop listening to the book yesterday. It was that captivating. Joshua Dalzelle is true master storyteller.
It’s an ok read. A bit juvenile. I guess the world building expands in the series. But I will stop with book one.
