This book can be summed up, without spoilers, with the following 3 I’s:An abundance of intricacies.Sometimes overwhelming intellectual speak.And a cacophony of introspection. You can sometimes get bogged down with the thought processes, but it’s an interesting story.
A mix of apocalyptic elements with a sprinkling of humor. A nice continuation of the story and I’m now impatient for the next installment.

Not sure where to put this, but there seems to be an issue with the length of the book. I’m stuck on chapter 20 and there are clearly more chapters but the time remaining is at -43 minutes. I can’t skip to where I’ve listened, so I’m stuck hearing chapter 20 over and over again.
Good story across 3 books… Until very end. Way to spike the ball on the 1. Returning the rest of the series.
One of my favorite things about the chrysalis series was the lack of explicit language. I feel that when authors use this kind of language it feels out of place. It also seems lazy. You are a word-smith for Pete’s sake. Do better 🙂
The main character is intelligent and interesting. I look forward to getting the next books.

Great story, great characters this has become one of my favorite series of all time!
It’s getting more rare that when a series gets into its third title it turns out to be better than the previous two. This book fills the bill. Funny and interesting.
The most interesting character in a long time is Ryun. Great back story. Interesting dialogue. Fascinating journey. Could not wait to hear more. But instead we get a lot of Zach. Zach is a boring one dimensional paladin type, that inexplicably thinks a serial killer is ok to date because reasons, who gets everything handed..
