Series had potential, but the characters were TOO dumb. I love Apocalypse Parenting, as it has a good balance of drama to comedy, but this felt like it was just trying too hard. I get it’s all about the ‘dads’ but once reunited the wives and kids had NO interaction?Also the ending wrapped up too..

An example of what I would call right wing fantasy. An embarrassing literary effort to promote bizarre libertarian view points. The author seems to be working through some sort of anger at the loss of his privilege. 0-10 would not recommend.

Okay, it’s entertaining I guess but that’s about all of the positives I can muster. Very generic characters, very generic world building and barely there action. It wasn’t funny enough or dramatic enough, it’s just kind of there. I’ll forget about this one within a few days.
This book is very different from Slow Burn. Unlike Slow Burn this series was not nonstop action one firefight, near-death experience, or heroic moment after another but still entertaining.
