Binged the first 4 books. I’m impressed how well the author balances the character dynamics and the primary perspective of the mc. Also, this is the epitome of what a story focused on a necromancer should be. Tyrin has those last boss in the dungeon kind of vibes. looking forward to the next book!
First the bad. why include the sexual comments? The normal ones and the homosexual ones? They have no place and break up the immersion of the story. they are not often but enough to hurt the story. The story is different in a good way. Start is sloooow, and I gave up on my first..
Series had potential, but the characters were TOO dumb. I love Apocalypse Parenting, as it has a good balance of drama to comedy, but this felt like it was just trying too hard. I get it’s all about the ‘dads’ but once reunited the wives and kids had NO interaction? Also the ending wrapped up too..
great narration! engaging characters! wonderfully done story line! a definite must have for anyone that loves post apocalyptic stories!
An example of what I would call right wing fantasy. An embarrassing literary effort to promote bizarre libertarian view points. The author seems to be working through some sort of anger at the loss of his privilege. 0-10 would not recommend.
The first book was good, still some whining but at the end of the day it was a good solid book. This hot garbage tanks the whole series, I will not be getting anymore of these books. it is genuinely infuriating how much this book 1, glazes, his parents non-stop almost every chapter, we get..
I thoroughly enjoyed the first 80% of the book. So much information and good stories. The last bit bored me a bit. Maybe because it was modern times and not historical.
