I will say that I went about halfway through the book listening to references and getting only half of them. Some of them were literally dnd memes ripped straight off of r/dndmemes but some were actual references that ranged from Lord of the rings to a recent slightly obscure Cultivation story about just wanting to..
Not the greatest but it’s pretty entertaining. solid characters and some good funnies with plenty of action thrown in.
got about 3/4 through and had to quit. about 1/4-1/3 of the story is topical references from the 2000s. I love the concept of a freshly sapient creature experiencing the world and going through simple trials like it’s the most important thing in the world. I liked the gods reactions and how the adventure is..
A fun post-apocalyptic adventure with a great grit-to-humor ratio, well crafted, and brought to life with fantastic narration. A big thank you to the author for bringing much joy to several of my work days.
because this book will bring up references from the ’90s anywhere between twice a page and twice a chapter to the point that it’s utterly exhausting.
I really tried, but just could not do it. Tried it because I enjoyed Rimmels other books but this one is just to immature for me.
I picked this book up mostly because of the cover, the title, and the genre (litRPG). And wow I wasn’t disappointed. It was totally delightful! So much so that it quickly landed on my top favorite’s of the year! The explanation of how Sir Crabby became sentient was just precious and delightful! Yeah, I loved Sir..
This was so cute and amusing. I didn’t know what to expect starting it but I’m glad I took the chance!
