Phil Thron is one of the best narrators out there and is perfect for this series. The outtakes are hilarious.
The more I listen, the less I am enjoying the story. The author cannot help himself when it comes to regurgitating the same information again & again. It’s tiresome. Really hoping that the next book is the last because I’m unsure how much more unnecessary repetition I can stand.
this series grabs u and 9 books later it’s awesome. some stuff is over top but hey end of world could be over top! loved it. fricken good!!!
This book was overall okay. The repetition of levels, skills & talents is getting extremely old! Almost 20 minutes of the final 2 chapters were spent rehashing how skilled Nathan has become! It’s utterly ridiculous. The last 10+ minutes of the book was exactly that.Speaking of the ending, (without spoilers) I think it’s crapy to end..
Good story- too bad it ended so abruptly! It’s pretty good, just wish it wouldn’t end so abruptly. Thanks for the great story!
This was a decent second book. I like how Nathan is extremely levelheaded. He has a very sharp mind & an even temperament. He is advancing not only himself but also the “Heirs”, his other new friends & his new community as a whole. He doesn’t haphazardly introduce concepts from Earth that could wind up..
This book can be summed up, without spoilers, with the following 3 I’s:An abundance of intricacies.Sometimes overwhelming intellectual speak. And a cacophony of introspection. You can sometimes get bogged down with the thought processes, but it’s an interesting story.
A mix of apocalyptic elements with a sprinkling of humor. A nice continuation of the story and I’m now impatient for the next installment.
I was having a lot of fun with this series before this. This book was my favorite so far, and by a lot.
