Thich Nhat Hanh is a very kind and caring human who cares about others and it shows. His story touched me and this book was a great read to understand Nuddhas
Glen’s tale is honest and worth a read, couldn’t stop listening. I felt his passion and constant social struggle come to life in this story.
I’m not sure what went wrong with the audio script for this but it started getting impossible to follow along in my physical book because the audio book had a whole bunch of extra paragraphs. nothing wrong with the book itself. but the audio doesn’t follow physical book. not a fan of wasting my money
Highly recommended for people interested in the Middle East History!! Brand new insites into a complicated area of history!!!
A compelling story well told and well narrated, with details that humanise Bob Ames and the people / network around him. It comes across as balanced as possible (with, for example, transparency about aliases) and clear about the complexity of the situation.
Sometimes I enjoy listening to a book about running while I run. This book fit the bill. I really enjoyed it. I enjoyed the author occasionally telling about his own running experiences as well as the elite coaching and running that was the main topic.
Everything about this book felt uncomfortable. From the abuse of power to the age difference, I’m unsure how this is quantified as a romance.
Narrator’s voice was moderately monotone. It was fine throughout 95% of the book, but some artistically written repeat phrases had me wondering if my app was glitching and going back a few seconds repeatedly. That is how consistent/monotone his voice is. Regardless, outstanding job overall, and these messages will stick with me throughout my journey..
