Rapey and Vulgar

Review from Fighting Destiny →

Super rapey from the beginning, if that’s your thang. I rolled with it because the backstory was decent, there was potential. But I’m not satisfied with the “bedroom” scenes. Meh

Review from Fighting Destiny →

MC had no personality. I wasn’t drawn in , or invested in the characters at all. Honestly, they could have killed off either of the main characters and I wouldn’t have cared. I want my credit back.

Review from Boss I Love to Hate →

Such a great story! The writing and dialogue are fantastic – nothing cheesy here!! I thought romance progressed at an appropriate rate as well. Not too fast. I liked the narrators, although it’s not Alex Judd’s best work. Very choppy on this one. Sarah Puckett did a great job.

If you want fantasy with heavy spice, look no further than Amelia Hutchins. However, the juvenile turn of phrases and dialogue in the book are a mark against the book. I love her other series and for that reason I will give book 2 a shot before deciding whether to finish the series.
