Very thorough research but the narrator’s pronunciation of SEA locations could have been better. 1972 was a tough year in SEA especially for aviators.
Very good documentation.

If you like space operas, and who the hell doesn’t? Good story, fast paced, leading to a awesome series.
Another entry in the “We were doomed, but then we found this warship with an AI” genre, except in this case it is a pacifist warship. A pacifist warship? Isn’t that an oxymoron? I suppose the author was looking for something to set this book apart from all of the other books in this sub-category..
I re-read this book about 4 times. I will keep coming back to it when I forget or feel less confident in my parenting skills. This book has changed my life.
loved it couldn’t put it down, my dad and uncles carried it all over Europe most of the veterans from Vietnam loved the m14 more than the m16 I am a Vietnam veteran
Nice but not novel concept. Character development (including the ship) and setting a stage for conflict seemed to be the primary purpose of this book. There were a couple of exciting sequences, but I was disappointed that there was not a more satisfying end. Narration was too dry and sapped the humor that was meant..
This is a great book if you just want some background noise… or if have insomnia and need a sleep aid.
book. voice of John Philip Newe comes across in each and every page. He does a convincing job of presenting the oneness of the universe and all that is in it. I highly recommend reading this book.
